To realize its top-level educational activity Saint-Petersburg State Pediatric Medical University has all necessary material and technical equipment, scientific and educational literature, medical centres and hospitals. The University prepares bachelors, masters and specialist in medical sphere. The University renovates its material and technical resources as well as educational and informational ones every year.
Total area of the University’s territory is 147723 sq.m. The structure of the University includes 29 buildings, equipped with video control systems. The University has 10 computer classrooms, where students study new disciplines. There are 6 cafes and students’ canteens, 3 of them are situated in the university campus.
The University Library has a rich collection of scientific and educational literature.
A Centre of modern educational technologies actively functions at the University. In this Centre students practice their professional skills, using simulators, exercisers, training devices and phantoms.
One of important departments of the University is the Research centre, that includes 5 research laboratories:
-Molecular diagnostic laboratory with advanced group of ecogenetics;
- Laboratory of clinical immunology;
- Laboratory of new medical technologies;
- Laboratory of neurocognitive technologies;
- Laboratory of experimental medicine.
Children’s clinical hospital, based in Saint-Petersburg Pediatric Medical University (Clinic of the Ministry of Heath of the Russian Federation) is the biggest in Russia. It is a leading general federal medical centre, based on the best medical traditions and science. The structure of this clinic consists of:
- Diagnostic Centre;
-A modern Pediatric Centre;
- over 20 specialized hospital departments designed for 815 beds.
For physical education and sports activity the University has a big sport centre, including:
-different sport gyms;
- gyms for fitness and for combat sports;
-3 gyms equipped with various fitness machines;
-gym for gymnastics and acrobatics;
-skiing station;
-summer holiday camp «Karelia».
The University campus includes 4 comfortable hostels, having all necessary facilities for everyday life and rest, every hostel has its fitness centre. All students, coming to study at Saint-Petersburg State Pediatric Medical University via “Global Education” organization are provided with accommodation in students’ hostels.
